Visit Our Distillery
Glenfarclas was one of the first distilleries in Scotland to open a dedicated visitor centre in 1973. We still pride ourselves on the warmth of our welcome. We have a range of tours to appeal to everyone from those new to whisky, to the dedicated enthusiast.
“We invite you to visit our truly independent distillery and discover our renowned Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky” John L. S. Grant.
Glenfarclas will close for tours from 4pm on 19th of December, re-opening on the 6th of January.
The Visitor Centre will open for one day, on the 27th of December (weather permitting) from 11am to 3pm. Please join us for a dram and a mince pie.
On the 27th there are also limited spaces on distillery tours starting at 11:30, 12:30 and 13:30.
Bookings for tours can be made prior to the 20th by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Places on the Five Decades Tour and Connoisseurs Tour are strictly limited, so advance booking is essential. Please note we can only offer these tours on weekdays.
We strongly recommend that those participating in the Connoisseurs Tour or Five Decades Tour make transport arrangements to avoid the need to drive after the tour.
Unfortunately, the distillery is in an old building that is laid-out in such a way that is not accommodating to disabled visitors. Tours involve climbing and descending two flights of stairs, so we would have to omit this part. However, we would still show guests into a warehouse and offer whisky to taste in our tasting room.
Our Visitor Centre and tasting room has flat access and a disabled toilet.
